Dr. Diane Peters is a licensed clinical psychologist and the owner of Bryan Psychological Services in Bryan, Ohio. She has extensive experience providing psychological evaluations, therapy, consultation, and court-related services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Her work is guided by the belief that each person deserves to be understood within the context of their individual experiences, strengths, relationships, and circumstances. She strives to combine careful clinical judgment with a warm, practical, and thoughtful approach.

Education & Professional Experience

  • Dr. Peters earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. She completed an APA-approved psychology internship at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago and a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in children and adolescents at the Hawthorn Center in Northville, Michigan.

  • She has been a licensed clinical psychologist in Ohio since 1996 and is PSYPACT certified. After seven years with The Bryan Medical Group and Maumee Valley Guidance Center, she opened Bryan Psychological Services in 2003. Her career has included outpatient and inpatient treatment, psychological and forensic evaluations, consultation, and clinical supervision of psychology trainees,.

  • Her professional experience includes a wide range of comprehensive and specialized psychological evaluations, including: ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, parenting assessments, competency evaluations, mental functioning capacity assessments, and pre-employment evaluations. She also provides individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, as well as consultations with courts, schools, physicians, attorneys, and other professionals. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan, from young children through older adulthood.

  • Dr. Peters has also provided supervision and training to master’s and doctoral-level psychology students and helped develop predoctoral and postdoctoral training programs.

Outside the Office

Outside of work, Dr. Peters enjoys spending time with her husband, children, extended family, and friends. She also enjoys traveling, reading, playing mahjong, creating unique home pieces from authentic vintage barnwood, and volunteering with the American Red Cross. Her volunteer work reflects a longstanding commitment to helping others both within and beyond her professional role.
